Hand Held GPS Units

I am looking to by a hand held GPS unit.  I have read all kind of reviews and they are really all over the place.  I am looking for actual hunters and fishermen and (women), sorry! Ladies, who have had more than one brand and can give me advantages and disadvantages of the units they have used.
