The contest will be judged and ran by Gerhard Vos from daggaboy safaris our member and sponsor. All members from gohuntingandfishing are eligible except for the owner and admin and any family members.

Gerhard Vos will post 1 trophy animal the first week and then 3 trophy animals for 3 weeks. Members should judge the horns by length in inches. Every trophy is already measured by him.
When a member judged the size he/she should keep the answer till we ask for them. So after the contest we will give them an email address where to mail the answers to. The score will be scored as follow;

Spot on - 10 points
1%-2% off   - 9 points
3%-5% off - 7 points
6%-10% off - 5 points
11% and more - 1 point

The highest score out off 100 will be the winner, should there be more than one winner he will post a sudden death picture to be scored.

The member with the most points will win the contest and hunt with Gerard Vos from daggaboy safaris. Thanks everyone for the positive feed back. I am going to post the pics from now on on this part of the forum so to all of you let us not post any comments so we can keep the pictures together. Remember that you have enough time to score the points so take you time and make sure.

You will judge the longest horn off the trophy, that means for each trophy there will only be ONE judged measurement. I will give an example; let say I post a pic of a kudu, you decide which horn is the longest and only give us the the size off that specific horn in INCHES, so if you think that the horn is 40 inches your answer will then look like this;

Kudu 40 inches.

AT the end off the contest I will post an e-mail adress were you can send ALL 10 your answers in one email to me.

GOOD LUCK ALL MEMBERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

There is two ways to score African animals, one is by Rowland Ward and the second by SCI. The first is the longest horn of the two  will give you a measurement in inches. SCI score you measure both horns, you also measure the thickness off the bases and you count everything together (some animals are measured not the same) and that will give you the SCI score.

In this case we only judge the longest horn........in inches!
