There is no season on them here in Florida. I have a friend who hunts them. He'll be doing that soon I imagine. He just had a hog come back that he was hunting over a year ago! He had kept it fenced up on a friend's property and it got away. They had gone out to get it back and my friend says he shot him, but they couldn't find it.
So, over time people around the property kept saying they had seen it. It finally came back and the owner of the property called my friend and said that it was the same hog that got away. It was an amazing story, but I thought animals knew better than to return to the scene of the crime. Lol. Oh, well. They're feeding him corn over the next month and you know what that means.
