Can you skin GRIZZ?!!

My son who has been hunting since he could hold up a gun had his Winchester model 1300 fire without the bolt being fully forward.....just passing it on in case anyone else has one!

he was holding it....The gun has a cam lock in the chamber and wasnt locked but still let him pull the trigger,and when he pulled the trigger everything came out the ejection port...someone was watching out for him! Only 1 pellet hit him the rest is powder burn!

I would research it and at lease let the manufacturer know about it and see if this has happened to others , before someone else gets killed.
