Starts with a lone bellowing stag (male) red deer on a hill side with a small herd of fallow deer nearby. Then later the scene moves to a few hundred meters away, where another stag red deer is gathered with a large herd of hinds (females). The stag can be seen detecting the hinds in estrous using his nose and tongue, and then chasing them, and seeming to bellow in protest as they try to move away from him.
