The only hobbies that stick with me year in and year out are Hunting and Fishing. My fishing passion is chasing trout in a beautiful mountain stream with a fly rod. Unfortunately I live in Nebraska so I do more bass fishing than trout fishing. As far as hunting goes, deer and turkey take up most of the time. Ducks and geese were a passion for years and then we lost our spot. A great big thanks to Glenn Scobey who taught me to blow a goose call and gave me the best duck call I ever blew.

I love Remington guns. I bought my 870 Wingmaster when I was 12 and it has been with me ever since. It is as beautiful and functional as the day I bought it.

I shoot a Barnett crossbow because my artificial elbow won't allow me to draw a bow. It has taken a turkey but have yet to send a bolt through a deer.

Well when you have three boys you learn to like the animated films and kid flicks. Doesn't matter what the movie is when you have a big bowl of popcorn and your kids with you. If I am alone, I enjoy all types and kinds of movies from classic guy action flicks to a good romantic comedy.

When I am in control of the music it is country. However I am learning to like some groups like Nickleback, Creed, and Five Finger Death Punch.

I have every book by John Gierach. If you don't know him, he writes about fly fishing with small bit of hunting tossed in (very small bit). He touches on politics but does not impose his views. He makes you think about things without pushing his views. It helps that he lives and writes about fishing on the eastern slope of the rockies. I can picture the streams he writes about because they are where I like to fish when I make the 4 hour drive.

Next in line would be Tom Clancy. If you are going to read him you have to make a commitment. His books are long and intricate. They are unbelievable.

I am lucky to have a job that allows me to reflect at the end of the day and know that what I do saves lives. I manage folks for a living and I want to ensure that the company gets what they pay for and the staff get what the company promised them. They are more than workers, they are people with families, celebrations and heartaches. They deserve second chances and support. Somewhere in there a compromise is found and we are all happy.

My boys and family are my passion. I went to work one day 20 months ago believing my life was perfect and found out that night it wasn't. I went through many months of hell and agony. January 2011 is the start of a different, but ok, life for me. I have my three son's in my life and that is all that matters.

I tuck my boys in at night, say a prayer with them and tell them I love them. They are great boys who know they are loved and treat others well. Who can ask for more.
